Following the Children’s Festival in 2006 there was a felt need for an ongoing Children’s Program. There was a weekly program with about 50 grade school children attending. A team of local women volunteered (a teacher/principal & assistants) during the week and devoted their weekends to these children. There were opportunities to play, create, and learn with a variety of lessons/ educational activities and prayer for their weekly needs. As the original room was too small for so many, they moved outside but were combating dust and wind. Two rooms, without a roof, were being rented. The furnishings included five benches and one table.
